Five week course

Intermediate Knitting 2: Baby Blanket

Course Overview:

This intermediate-level class incorporates casting on, the knit and the purl stitch, and lace-knitting to create a pattern using Babygarn Yarn.

Course Outline:

Students should have already learned to cast on, as well as the knit stitch and purl stitch. We will begin learning lace knitting. Lace knitting is characterized by a series of increase and decrease stitches, creating ‘holes’ that form a lovely pattern.

In this class, students will begin learning this technique and incorporating it with knit and purl stitches to create a lovely baby blanket using Babygarn.

Babygarn is a Merino wool yarn. This yarn comes in 45 different colors, so there are plenty of colors to choose from.  We don’t carry all the colors at our store, but we have a great color chart and can order all the colors at any time.

The class will meet once a week for 1 1/2-2 hours for five weeks.

  • 8-10 hours of professional instruction
  • 6 skeins of yarn
  • finished baby blanket
